Common Questions for ECE interviews
- Tell me about yourself.
- Why did you apply for this position?
- Please tell us your certificate/experience relating to ECE.
- How do you approach 3 or 4 years old children? What are your guiding and caring techniques?
- What is universal precaution?
- What do you do when you see a child abuse?
- What do you see in a child?
- What are the most important things for you to work with children/staff/parents?
- What are your strengths/weakness?（少なくとも３つずつ言えるようにしておきましょう）
ALWAYS Situational Questions!!!
- There are children at the sand box, and started to fight for a toy. What would you do?
- A child at the water table spilled as she was playing there. What would you do?
- A co-worker who was late for work repeatedly, or continued not to follow the rules or is there any conflict with co-workers. What would you do?
- You watched a sub teacher talking to parents about her/his child. What would you do?
- A person at the centre who you never seen before, and she/he insisted to pick up a child. What would you do?
- There is sometimes written question which ask the candidates to answer several situational questions. You have to write your answers
- Tell about your experience/knowledge about “pedagogical narration”/”duty to report” etc
- Write down the steps what you do when there was a missing child at the centre.
全ての質問へに英語で回答できるようになりましたか？
面接官からはメモを見ながら返答ているかいないかは、よくわかるそうです。
多少文法が間違っていても大丈夫。丸覚えしたりメモに頼ったりせず自分の言葉で答えられるようにしましょう。
ここであげた質問はあくまで代表的な例にすぎません、実際の面接でははさまざまな質問が聞かれると思います。また、質問だけではなく世間話や雑談をすることも多いです。面接官はたわいのない会話の中でいろんなこと見ています。
つまり、世間話や雑談も全て評価の対象になります！！！
